Add a Mounted NFS Share

A valid NFS Share must be exported on the remote file system server, and have granted your server access to it.

Purpose

You can mount remote file NFS filesystems and access them as though they exist on your server.

Procedure - Add a Mounted NFS Share

  1. Click on the System Services menu if it is not already expanded.
  2. Click on the ♦    NFS Server submenu if it is not already expanded.
  3. Click on the      ◊    Exports item.
  4. You should now be looking at the NFS Management :: Mounts controls in the main content area.
  5. Enter the hostname of the remote server to perform the file system mount on.
  6. Enter the remote directory to mount.
  7. Choose a local mount point on your server where you will access this mount.
  8. Choose Protocol, Mount Type, and Re-mount Options, and Interrupt Handling options for this mount.
  9. Click the Add button.
  10. You will see the following message at the top of the screen: » NFS mount successfully added : mount point => hostname:remote directory".
