Terminate a Running Query

Purpose
This will detail how to terminate a currently running MySQL query. Terminating an individual query can be useful if a query is running for too long or is producing unintended consequences.
Procedure - Terminate a Running MySQL Query
- Click on the menu if it is not already expanded.
- Click on the submenu if it is not already expanded.
- Click on the ◊ Overview item.
- You should now be looking at the MySQL Server Management controls in the main content area.
- Locate the Current MySQL Processes section.
- If there are no active or running processes, you will see No active MySQL Processes / Queries.
- If processes/queries are listed, select the ones you wish to terminate.
- Select Terminate from the drop-down list.
- You will see the following message near the top of the screen: » MySQL processes successfully terminated.
