Change the MySQL Root Password

No Special Prerequisities.

This will detail how to change the root password for MySQL.

1. Click on the System Services menu if it is not already expanded.
2. Click on the ♦    MySQL Server submenu if it is not already expanded.
3. Click on the      ◊    Overview item.
4. You should now be looking at the MySQL Server Management controls in the main content area.
5. Locate the MySQL Root Password section at the bottom of the screen.
6. Type in the password you wish to change the MySQL root password to in the Root Password field.
7. Type in the password again in the Confirm Password field.
8. Click the Update button.
9. You will the following message at the top of the screen: » MySQL root password successfully changed.
