How-to Configure Server-Wide Custom SpamAssassin Options

Purpose

The following procedure explains how ADD, EDIT, or DELETE custom server-wide SpamAssassin options from the NodeWorx interface.

Procedure - Add a custom server-wide SpamAssassin Preference

  1. Click on the System Services menu if it is not already expanded.
  2. Click on the ♦    Mail Server submenu if it is not already expanded.
  3. Click on the      ◊    SPAM Filtering item.
  4. You should now be looking at the Mail Server Management :: SPAM Filter Settings controls in the main content area.
  5. Locate the Advanced SpamAssassin Custom Options section.
  6. Enter a SpamAssassin Preference into the Preference: text box.
  7. Enter a value for that Preference into the Value: text box.
  8. Click the Add button.
  9. You will see the following message at the top of the screen: » Custom option added successfully

Procedure - Edit a custom server-wide SpamAssassin Preference

  1. Click on the System Services menu if it is not already expanded.
  2. Click on the ♦    Mail Server submenu if it is not already expanded.
  3. Click on the      ◊    SPAM Filtering item.
  4. You should now be looking at the Mail Server Management :: SPAM Filter Settings controls in the main content area.
  5. Locate the Advanced SpamAssassin Custom Options section.
  6. Edit the Value: text box values as appropriate.
  7. Using the drop down at the bottom of the list, select “Commit Changes”

Procedure - Delete a custom server-wide SpamAssassin Preference

  1. Click on the System Services menu if it is not already expanded.
  2. Click on the ♦    Mail Server submenu if it is not already expanded.
  3. Click on the      ◊    SPAM Filtering item.
  4. You should now be looking at the Mail Server Management :: SPAM Filter Settings controls in the main content area.
  5. Locate the Advanced SpamAssassin Custom Options section.
  6. Check the checkbox next to the preference(s) you would like to delete.
  7. Enter a value for that Preference into the Value: text box.
  8. Using the drop down at the bottom of the list, select “Delete”.
  9. For each deleted preference, You will see the following message at the top of the screen: » Custom option deleted successfully: preference name
