How To Change the POP3 Memory Limit

Purpose

The following procedures explain how to change the POP3 memory limit. This is the maximum amount of memory the POP3 process will be use when processing mail.

Procedure - Change the POP3 Memory Limit

  1. Click on the System Services menu if it is not already expanded.
  2. Click on the ♦    Mail Server submenu if it is not already expanded.
  3. Click on the      ◊    MDA Settings item.
  4. You should now be looking at the Mail Server Management :: MDA controls in the main content area.
  5. Locate the MDA Server Information [POP3] section.
  6. In the POP3 Memory Limit field, type the amount of memory (in bytes) you wish to allow the POP3 mail server to use.
  7. Click the Update button.
  8. You will see the following set of messages at the top of the screen:
    » POP3 settings updated successfully
    » Service successfully restarted
