How To Change the IMAP Memory Limit

Purpose

The following procedures explain how to change the IMAP memory limit. This is the maximum amount of memory the IMAP process will be use when processing mail.

Procedure - Change the IMAP Memory Limit

  1. Click on the System Services menu if it is not already expanded.
  2. Click on the ♦    Mail Server submenu if it is not already expanded.
  3. Click on the      ◊    MDA Settings item.
  4. You should now be looking at the Mail Server Management :: MDA controls in the main content area.
  5. Locate the MDA Server Information [IMAP] section.
  6. In the IMAP Memory Limit field, type the amount of memory (in bytes) you wish to allow the IMAP mail server to use.
  7. Click the Update button.
  8. You will see the following set of messages at the top of the screen:
    » IMAP settings updated successfully
    » Service successfully restarted
