Purpose
The following procedure explains how to Start/Stop The Local DNS Recursive Resolver
Procedure - Start/Stop The Local DNS Recursive Resolver
- Click on the menu if it is not already expanded.
- Click on the submenu if it is not already expanded.
- Click on the ◊ Overview item.
- You should now be looking at the DNS Management controls in the main content area.
- Locate the Active DNS Services (Recursive / Local Resolver) section.
- Click the checkbox next to the IP you want to update (normally
127.0.0.1) - Select Start or Stop from the dropdown menu below the IP list depending on what you want to do.
- The page will reload and You will see the following message at the top of the screen: » Settings updated successfully.
Procedure - Flush The Local DNS Recursive Resolver
- Click on the menu if it is not already expanded.
- Click on the submenu if it is not already expanded.
- Click on the ◊ Overview item.
- You should now be looking at the DNS Management controls in the main content area.
- Locate the Active DNS Services (Recursive / Local Resolver) section.
- Click the checkbox next to the IP you want to update (normally
127.0.0.1) - Select Flush from the dropdown menu below the IP list.
- The page will reload and You will see the following message at the top of the screen: » Settings updated successfully.
