How to Change the Default Shell

Purpose
This procedure will detail how to change the default shell for an InterWorx-CP shell user. The default shell is the shell that is set for shell users that have SSH login enabled via the Shell Users page.
Procedure - Change the Default Shell
- Click on the menu if it is not already expanded.
- Click on the ♦ Shell Users item.
- You should now be looking at the Shell Account Management controls in the main content area.
- Locate the Shell Account Options section.
- Select the desired shell, such as /bin/ksh, from the dropdown labeled Default Shell.
- Click the button.
- You will see the following message at the top of the screen: » Default shell changed successfully.
| This will change the default shell for all newly enabled accounts, it will not affect existing enabled shell users. |
