SiteWorx Packages FAQ
What is the "package" listed in NodeWorx?
This screen is useful for people running a hosting company. The Package page allows you to create one or several packages to act as a template when you create SiteWorx accounts.
For example: Gold, Silver, Platinum, Starter, DELUXE, etc.
Each can have access to and quotas for certain SiteWorx features such as email, databases, bandwidth, disk space, etc.
Once you create your packages, they will appear in the dropdown on the SiteWorx account page.
Will updating package in NodeWorx update the feature quotas of all of the users with that package?
No, the InterWorx database does not store SiteWorx info by package, only by quotas for each feature. You will need to update each client manually.
If I update a Package in NodeWorx will all of the accounts previously created under that package get the updated feature info?
No, the NodeWorx database keeps track of account features, feature by feature, not by package. This is so that you can manually upgrade (or downgrade) features without adding additional packages.
Packages are merely a fast way to create accounts with the same basic “template” without having to set every setting manually.
Can I change the default date bandwidth on an account is restarted? ("Billing Date")
Yes, as of InterWorx 2.1 you can set your own “billing day” to the date the account was set up (or another date) rather than the first of the month as was previously required. This is helpful for those using “Anniversary Billing” in their billing software.
