HowTo: Edit a NodeWorx User

Prerequesites:

InterWorx 3.0.1 or later.

Purpose

The system administrator may wish to create additional NodeWorx logins to provide others with full or limited access to the NodeWorx interface. From time to time it may be necessary to change the settings or privelages of these users.

Procedure

  1. Log Into NodeWorx
  2. Click on the NodeWorx menu if it is not already expanded.
  3. Click on the ♦    User Accounts item.
  4. You should now be looking at the NodeWorx User Management controls in the main content area.
  5. Click the [ Edit ] link next to the user you want to edit.
  6. From here make any changes you desire:
    • To edit the the Name or email address, simply change it.
    • To change the password for the user, type the new password in both fields.
    • To change the language or theme for the user, simply select the new value from the dropdown menu.
    • Select the checkbox next to the User Permissions which you want the user to have, and a check will appear. To remove a privlage, click the checkbox of an already chacked box and it will be removed.
  7. Click Save.

 The Email Address which you provide here serves as the users NodeWorx login and MUST NOT belong to any other NodeWorx user including resellers.

 A theme or language must be installed and enabled in NodeWorx before a user can user it.
