One of InterWorx-CP‘s advantages over other panels is that the developers have not set out to “reinvent the wheel” so to speak. When they have found an open source tool (or inexpensive commercial ones) which performs a task well they have simply integrated the existing tool rather than rewrite one from scratch.

Built upon the many open source tools within the Linux operating system, InterWorx-CP runs its own instance of apache, MySQL, and PHP to run the panel so that you can upgrade/modify the main system ones and not break the control panel. Our themes are written with Smarty and our graphs generated using RRD.

The popularity of Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, Gmail, and other assorted web based email services has prompted many web hosting providers to provide web interfaces for their users to access the email accounts which come with their hosting accounts.

Horde is the default and recommended webmail solution, but due to user requests InterWorx-CP also has available the popular Squirrelmail as an alternative.
